Bring on 2021

 Where to start, first I am not going to recap on 2020. Although in general it was not a bad year for our family but for many it was. So the shit show of 2020 will not be recapped. I will though update you on our family in general and the many comings and goings we have.


All the kiddos are currently healthy and doing well. Kenzie is still in cheer and is a typical teen you never know if she is coming or going. Philip is in wrestling and currently on his schools varsity team. Elise is becoming her own independent person embracing the teenage years fiercely. Joston is doing very well academically and still full time traveling wrestler. Gunnar well he is a combination of all of us and has personality out of this world, he is in PreK and ready to take on Kindergarten later this year.


My husband Paul had an amazing hunting year and has been working on wood projects as a new hobby. As for me well I have become more of a homebody and as always have way to many hobbies to keep up with. I am still  doing what are considered gig jobs. These jobs allow me to make my own schedule and keep up with attending our children's events. I did take on a new gig job this year Amazon Flex.. I get to deliver Amazon packages to peoples homes.


Now that you are updated on the Blended Stone's I am going to be shifting the blog this year I will still be giving updates on our family but I am gong to post recipes we are making and crafts we are working on more then family post and also use this as a journey  into my crafting life.


To Start I am going to tell you my personal and crafting Goals for 2021:


Personal Goal:

1. Take Etsy Classes (to better my etsy sales)

2. Rebrand my Label (Laugh Love & Relax Boutique)

3. Make $500 a week between Gig Jobs

4. Redo Craft Room

6. Eat Cleaner

7. Work on Patience with kids and husband

8. Write Thankful Notes everyday


Craft Goals:

1. Organize Craft Room

2. Organize and Destash Yarn

3. Rebrand Label

4. Redo Etsy Store

5. Perfect Resin Art

6. Make Crochet Projects for 4H

        1. Purse

        2. Slippers

        3. Wall Art

        4. Hat


Maybe posting my personal and crafting goals publicly will keep me more accountable this year to stay on track with  my goals. Follow along to find out.

I absolutely love my children. Even though I have both a threenager and teenagers in the same house hold. Some days I don't know which is harder having a threenager or the teenagers. At least my threenager still wants to cuddle and wants dad and mom when he is feeling sad or hurt. The teenagers on the other hand. They only want to cuddle when they want something from you or if you are doing something for them. Also how different are boy and girl teenagers... wow just wow are they different. Part Two: Letter to Bio- Mother From: Step Mother

First of all thank you to all who read, commented, shared, like and messaged me about my last blog post Part One. There are so many different situations life puts us in it was nice to hear the variety of stories and life events. So THANK YOU for sharing yours with me. After reading other step parents responses to my blog it’s a general consensus that we as step-parents do not feel adequate and we feel less of a parent. None of us ever feel like we are enough.  We do not know the correct boundaries, no one wrote us a book on the proper way to be a step parent.   I did another poll on Facebook  my question this time was “If you could say one thing to your child’s bio mom or dad what would it be?” Here where some of the responses: *Don’t talk to the children about adult issues.. it causes them stress and anxiety. *Don’t bad mouth the other parent. * Why have you not been hit by a bus? *Don't bad month my children. (Speaking about step parents own kids) * Treat kids equally.

Threenager Why I Fear Him

I fear my child sometimes! Why? He is THREE! To some of you that might mean nothing at all. Let me tell you though THREE is scary. Who in this world made up that there was such a thing as the Terrible Two's? That person might not have had kids because two is easy peasy. When a child is two they are still learning to communicate and they seem innocent and sweet. Three hits and  it is a whole new ball game. They can very well verbally communicate! They know that there care consequences to there actions and guess what? THEY DON'T GIVE A FLYING RATS BUTT! You read that right. These Threenagers are testing you in every way possible just to see how long it takes for you to yell and pull your hair out. Why? They think it is Funny! At this age to them we are just their Minions.
